Come by for a night of retro-futuristic, 80s inspired dance music. DJs Faith In The Glitch, Valentine + Special Guest DJ Marvel 83′ bring you a night of cinematic, 80s-influenced cuts by some of the best Retrowave & Synthwave artists out there today.
Retrowave (aka Synthwave, Outrun, futuresynth) is italo disco-edged synth music influenced by 1980s film soundtracks in both it’s sound and visual aesthetic. It expresses a nostalgia for 1980s pop culture by capturing the era’s atmosphere and celebrating it.
This party is for fans of Hotline Miami, movies such as Drive, Kung Fury, almost any movies by John Hughes, and musical artists such as FM-84, Kavinsky, Miami Nights 1984, Lifelike, Mitch Murder, Robert Parker, The Midnight, Morgan Willis; Timecop 1983, Garth Knight, 80s synth, italo disco and all things retro
80’s/Retro inspired fashion encouraged.
This cruise is aboard THE COSMO and will depart from Skyport Marina – East 23rd Street & FDR Drive (EAST side). We will be boarding and departing at the times listed on your ticket and are not able to allow refunds if you miss the boat. So don’t be late – it sure ain’t pretty to be standin on the dock, watching the party sailing away! There are cash bars on board so make sure to swing by the ATM on your way to the boat. There will be food available for purchase. All cruises are 3 hours unless otherwise noted.
